Bunions and Tailor's bunion (also called a bunionette) affect many people. A bunion is a bony bump on the joint at the bottom of the big toe. A Tailor's bunion is a bony bump on the joint at the bottom of the little toe.

You can get bunions for many reasons, including heredity, having flat feet, pronation when you walk (or rolling your feet inward), and wearing incorrectly sized shoes.

If you think you are experiencing a bunion or Tailor's bunion, you should make sure you are wearing proper footwear. Avoid high heels and other tight shoes. Wear shoes that are roomy near the toes.

Contact Dr. Lim for more information about bunions and options for treating them.
